About Me & My Mission
I’m Dr. Jennifer Bitner
At the heart of my work is a simple but powerful belief: your body has an incredible capacity to heal itself when given the right support. I created Healing Roots Health Coaching to help people reconnect with that innate wisdom, build sustainable habits, and feel confident in their ability to transform their health from the inside out.
My path into health coaching was deeply personal. After walking alongside my father through his journey with Lewy Body Dementia, I saw firsthand how complex, confusing, and overwhelming the healthcare system can feel - for both patients and families. I also witnessed how lifestyle, nutrition, mindset, and compassionate support could profoundly impact quality of life. That experience reshaped my purpose and planted the seed for the work I do today.
I am a certified health coach with advanced training in functional and lifestyle-based wellness approaches. My work is strongly influenced by naturopathic medicine, a holistic, root-cause philosophy that focuses on supporting the body’s natural healing ability through nutrition, movement, stress management, sleep optimization, and individualized care. While I do not diagnose or treat disease, I integrate naturopathic principles into my coaching to help clients build strong foundations for long term wellness.
My approach
Health coaching bridges the gap between knowing what to do and actually doing it. Many people already understand what “healthy” looks like - but struggle to apply it consistently in real life. This is where coaching becomes transformational. I partner with clients to clarify their deepest motivation, identify obstacles, and create realistic, sustainable changes that fit their unique lifestyle. I believe in progress over perfection and in small, meaningful steps that lead to lasting change.
My approach is also grounded in evidence-based positive psychology. Instead of focusing only on what needs to be fixed, we identify your natural character strengths and use them as powerful tools for growth. By building confidence, resilience, and self-compassion, my clients don’t just change habits-they change their relationship with themselves.
At Healing Roots Health Coaching, my mission is to guide and support individuals who are ready to take an active role in their health, especially those navigating cognitive decline prevention, brain health optimization, and whole-person wellness. I work with clients who want clarity, accountability, and a compassionate partner on their healing journey.
